Speaking to Rolling Stone about the upcoming albums, vocalist Corey Taylor said the band worked tirelessly to meet deadlines.

"Even with the time constraints we had, we basically recorded two albums in the time it takes to record one. So we were doing double-duty every day. I was tracking two songs vocally a day just to keep us on a deadline and it really pushed us to strive for excellence."

Stone Sour recently announced Johny Chow, from Fireball Ministry, as their new bassist. He replaces Shawn Economaki, who left the band earlier in the year due to personal reasons.

The band will tour Australia next year as part of the Soundwave festival and will play additional sideshows with Linkin Park in Sydney and Melbourne, the details of which can be found here.
