Frontman Anthony Raneri says of the EP, "We are locking in a new label right now and intend to start writing a new album in January. However we wanted to put out something to tide over our fans until we can deliver another album. We have become known for doing cover songs during our live shows and doing a covers EP is a blast for us. However these aren’t standard covers that people in our scene would think that we would do. These are songs that we grew up on and would love to share the influence to a new generation who may not know them."

Covers – Volume 1 will contain songs from legendary artists such as Van Morrison, The Ronettes, Del Shannon, Elvis Costello and Billy Joel.

The EP will also mark the return of Shep Goodman as producer, who was behind the band’s landmark 2005 self-titled album as well as 2007’s The Walking Wounded.

Bayside will launch special album bundles via their website on October 8.
