No Sleep Records is proud to announce the addition of punk rock trio Broadway Calls to the label’s burgeoning roster. The band will team up with new labelmates Mixtapes to release a split EP on October 23, and recently wrapped up their next full-length album due out in early 2013, both recorded with Bill Stevenson of Descendents.

“Having been a fan of Broadway Calls since their S/T LP, i was beyond ecstatic to work with them when approached about their upcoming record,” says No Sleep president Chris Hansen. “This record i feel has some of the guys best songs to date, and I am happy to be a part of this. Look for the start of the No Sleep / Broadway Calls collab this October with a split 7” with label mates Mixtapes which will be coming out just in time for Fest 11.”

“When it came time to find someone to put out our new record, No Sleep was such an obvious choice to us,” adds guitarist/vocalist Ty Vaughn. “They have a diverse roster, and they make their audience feel like they are a part of a community, not just consumers. That’s important to us and everyone in the scene we grew up in.”

Formed in 2005, Broadway Calls released their debut self-titled EP on State of Mind Records in 2007, which was later re-released by Adeline Records in 2008. The band quickly made a name for themselves in the punk rock community with their exceptional talent and performances around the world with The Smoking Popes, I Am The Avalanche, Bad Religion, All Time Low, Cobra Starship, Alkaline Trio, Polar Bear Club, The Swellers and The Gaslight Anthem to name a few.

The band released their second full-length album, Good Views, Bad News, with Side One Dummy Records in 2009, which was described by Absolutepunk.net as “the best pop-punk record of the year.” The release further catapulted the band into the forefront of the pop-punk scene and found them back on the road over the next several years with bands like Bouncing Souls, Bayside, Off With Their Heads, The Offspring and again then labelmates The Gaslight Anthem.

2012 marks an exciting new chapter for Broadway Calls as they team up with one of punk music’s hottest up-and-coming labels. In October, the band will come out strong with a split EP with Mixtapes before releasing their third studio album in early 2013.
