Soilwork part ways with guitarist

Iconic Swedish metal outfit Soilwork have parted ways with guitarist Peter Wichers for the second time in the band's career.

One of the original Soilwork members, Wichers originally left the band in 2005 following a decade long stint. After a three year hiatus, the guitarist returned in 2008, featuring on most recent studio album 'The Panic Broadcast'.

However, Soilwork told fans of the recent update on their Facebook page, with Wichers offering an official statement:

"I want to thank everyone who has supported Soilwork over the years. It has been a wild and fun ride, but it’s time for me to explore different options in my career. I will cherish all the amazing moments I have gathered from my time with Soilwork, and I would not be where I am today without the help from you fans, my family and Soilwork."
