UNFD is proud to announce another addition to a roster that already includes some of the most recognised heavy bands in the Australian music scene. Hand Of Mercy from Sydney, have signed on to release their new album "Last Lights" on August 17 via UNFD. Hand Of Mercy have been playing their brand of breakdown heavy hardcore since 2007, touring consistently around Australia and releasing two self-funded EPs including their debut album "The Fallout" along the way. Having toured with some of the world's best bands for 5 years, it was in January of this year that the band completed their biggest run to date, as main support to Australian hardcore kings Parkway Drive. Recently, they ventured to the USA to record their album with Shane Frisby (The Ghost Inside, Bury Your Dead, Deez Nuts), and "Last Lights" was the outcome - a massively produced, mosh heavy hardcore record that may turn out to be the heaviest Australian release of 2012. UNFD have been long time fans of the band, including them on support slots for bands like The Amity Affliction, House Vs Hurricane and Dream On Dreamer, and taking great personal interest in their music and touring. Now as the opportunity has risen to release their new album, the relationship can be solidified. UNFD’s A&R Luke Logemann says, "I've listened to all their records religiously, so when I found out they were looking for a new label I was over the moon. They are one of the hardest working and talented bands playing that sound, and we all cannot wait to help get their name out there as much as possible."

Says guitarist Adam McLean, "Recording Last Lights was the greatest things Hand Of Mercy have done to date. Not only did we get to produce a record that gets us stoked every time we stick in our head phones and blast it, but as a band it has allowed us to become more committed and focused on what lies ahead for the future. This is by far is the heaviest album we have created and something we can see people throwing up their horns and banging their fucking head to."

"We are beyond stoked to be releasing the album through UNFD! We have so many great friends already on the label and personally own so many of the labels releases. It is the perfect fit for us and we can't wait for what the future holds working alongside the team at UNFD."
