After their appearance at Metallica’s Orion Music & More Festival on June 23rd in Atlantic City, NJ, The Sword will begin recording their fourth album and first for their new label partners Razor & Tie.

After their appearance at Metallica’s Orion Music & More Festival on June 23rd in Atlantic City, NJ, The Sword will begin recording their fourth album and first for their new label partners Razor & Tie.


The album, to be entitled 'Apocryphon,' will be produced and engineered by J. Robbins (Clutch, Jawbox) and recorded at Magpie Cage Studios. 'Apocryphon' is scheduled for an early fall release.

The album will feature cover art by famed comic book artist J.H. Williams III (Batwoman, Promethea).


The Sword will commence a worldwide tour in support of Apocryphon in October.
