The band's vocalist Nick Dungo said:

“It took us a while to figure out where we wanted to take the sound of this band, but every second was worth it. To us, “The Revolution” couldn’t be a more perfect starting point for what’s to come. These songs organically represent us as people, and we’ve never felt more comfortable in our own skin”
