As their stint on the largely sold‐out 2012 Soundwave juggernaut draws closer, Sydney pop‐punk crew Heroes For Hire are gearing up to release a new single to celebrate the summer’s biggest and best music festival!
Not ones to keep their fans waiting between releases, the hard‐working fivesome – who can count national tours with Unwritten Law, Short Stack and their own successful headline run amongst their many victories in 2011 – somehow found the time to pen their catchiest track yet, “Heart Stops.”
Those already familiar with Heroes For Hire would know that the group has always embraced both extremes of the pop‐punk spectrum, with their past releases boasting as many instantly memorably pop anthems as they do pit‐friendly bangers that recall the genre’s glory days.
“We’ve never shied away from the fact that we love to write to different types of songs, ‘Heart Stops’ is just another example of that,” says guitarist Duane Hazell. “It’s definitely the most pop thing we’ve ever done but it’s still very much Heroes For Hire.”
Boasting a monster chorus that is sure to please Heroes’ rapidly‐expanding legion of fans, “Heart Stops” – which is available on iTunes from February 24th – is but a taste of what’s to come in 2012.
The track will also be backed by a new film clip, which will be exclusively premiered on Wednesday February 22nd at 6pm through the official Soundwave Festival Facebook page.
A teaser for the clip can be viewed below.
The albums Life Of The Party and Take One For The Team are available now in all good stores
and on iTunes, through Shock Entertainment.
