Young instrumental prog upstarts Kettlespider are close to finalising their debut studio album, with the Cheltenham based quintet releasing a studio video recently.

Young instrumental prog upstarts Kettlespider are close to finalising their debut studio album, with the Cheltenham based quintet releasing a studio video recently.


Having received national radio play via Triple J's 'The Racket', leading former host Andrew Haug to describe the band's style as, "Nice solid prog ala Dream Theater," the group are now putting the finishing touches on 'Avadante'.

"It's a bit of a concept album, featuring 6 (instrumental) songs that flow into one another. The main theme being an out of body experience in an otherworldly location called 'Avadante' as a result of a coma," drummer Simon Wood observed recently.
