Make Do And Mend sign with Rise Records

Make Do And Mend are the latest band to join the increasinly diverse Rise Records roster.

The band will enter the studio on February 20 with producer Matt Bayles to record their debut release for the label, and the follow up to their 2010 album "End Measured Mile".

The band released their new acoustic EP "Part And Parcel" last month through Paper + Plastick Records, and toured Australia for the first time in September and October as a part of the Counter Revolution shows, which was the replacement for the cancelled Soundwave Revolution festival.

I hope they still put their material out on records, and they are allowed to release splits and whatnot through other labels. I’m sure this is nothing but great for them, but I’m not sure how much I trust a label like Rise to do the right thing by them. Time will tell! Sure the new album will be ridiculous anyway, can’t wait.
