The Menzingers discuss new album

The Menzingers recently completed recording their new album and Epitaph Records debut with producer Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, Less Than Jake), and the band’s co-frontman Tom May has discussed the new record in a recent feature with Alternative Press.

May said:

"We’ve spent more time on the writing and recording processes of this record than anything we’ve done in the past. The songs are a little more thought out and we’re really happy with the results. We got our hands on a few guitar pedals and fucked around with some studio tricks. There’s a few more mid-tempo jams and some stuff we always wanted to do but haven’t had the time or the togetherness to pull off. Overall, we had a blast and Matt Allison really brought the best out of us. I can’t wait for our friends to hear it."

The album is expected to be released in the coming months through Epitaph Records, and the band will be making the trip to Australia in February and March, touring as a part of the Soundwave 2012 festival.
