"This was one of the first songs we worked on for the record, I was listening to a lot of Elliott Smith and Ryan Adams at the time. I also remember I wanted to try to give the song as much atmosphere as possible, which is where the slide part came from. We also used a big marching band drum, which is basically ringing throughout the entire song. For being one of the slower songs on the record, this one was probably the most fun to record because of how we were able to experiment with it."
