"We are sad to announce that we have parted ways with Atom. He has been with us since the beginning and we thank him for all the time and creativity he shared with us. Still look forward to his drumming on L )VE (sic) Part Two. It was an honor (sic) and we wish him all the best in his ongoing journey.

All the best with love,

AvA"

Subsequently, Willard also offered his own thoughts on the split, which has been described as "amicable."

"It's been a great six years and I feel privileged to have worked with these musicians I call my friends. While I will miss them, it is an amicable split and I look forward to this next chapter in my life. I truly wish the guys much success in the future," Willard informs.

Angels and Airwaves continue to push forward with their fourth studio album, with the San Diego based group set to release 'Love: Part Two' on November 11th.
