The Faceless post studio update video

Californian death metal outfit The Faceless have posted a new video, which documents the current progress of recording.

The Faceless have been busy preparing studio album number three and follow-up to 2008's 'Planetary Duality'.

The new full-length itself will mark the first material to feature new bassist Evan Brewer and Geoff Ficco, who is currently filling in on vocal duties after previous vocalist Derek Rydquirst left the band in May.

“This next record is going to be the most musical and progressive record we’ve made. Since recording Planetary Duality, the goals of THE FACELESS have changed a bit. You can still expect a fast, technical and blistering record, but I personally am less focused on a musical aesthetic and more on musicality and making an expressive, unique, moody and expansive record. Speed picking, flying double bass and skin melting guitar solos are certainly still in order," guitarist Michael Keene said in a Sumerian Records press release earlier in the year.
