Mastodon have confirmed that their forthcoming album "The Hunter" will be released on September 27 via Reprise Records. In addition, the band has released a song from the album entitled "Black Tongue", which features on a video

Mastodon have confirmed that their forthcoming album "The Hunter" will be released on September 27 via Reprise Records. In addition, the band has released a song from the album entitled "Black Tongue", which features on a video which chronicles the creation of the sculpture that features on the "The Hunter" cover art. 


"The Hunter" is Mastodon's fifth studio album and was produced with Mike Elizondo, who has worked with a vast array of artists including 50 Cent, Maroon 5 and Avenged Sevenfold. "Black Tongue" is now available as a digital single via iTunes. Mastodon have also made pre-orders available for a limited edition package of "The Hunter" which will include an alternative cover, poster and more, that can be purchased here.
