Gringo Bandito issues update on new Offspring record

Last April, we reported that The Offspring were getting close to finishing up their anticipated new record. A recent tweet from Gringo Bandito, a hot sauce company owned by the band's singer Dexter Holland, says that they were visiting the band in the studio, making it likely that they're still recording it. A recent tweet from Gringo Bandito, a hot sauce company owned by the band's singer Dexter Holland, says that they were visiting the band in the studio, making it likely that they're still recording it. "Was just at the recording studio & noticed the bowl of m&m's totally missing the light brown ones."

The same post from twitter also posted a picture of a bowl of M&M's and and a model plane, which is believed to have been taken at the studio.

The new Offspring album will follow "Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace", which was released back in 2008 on Columbia Records. A late 2011/early 2012 release date is expected.

Recently, the band's fansite theoffspring.eu posted three demos from their recording sessions in 1986. The demos are called "Halloweeen", "Call It Religion" and "Fire and Ice" and you can download them for free here.
