Quashing split rumours which have plagued the band since November last year after the departure of two members, Closure In Moscow are dipping their toes in the waters and experimenting with some new material and their new line up before they head into the studio this September to record a new album. Formed in Melbourne in 2006, Closure In Moscow have been a massive buzz band, since releasing one EP and one full length studio album to critical praise – The Penance and the Patience (2008) and First Temple (2009). Their single Kissing Cousins received massive support at triple j and the band headed to Japan late last year for the FACT Tour. Their line-up currently consists of guitarist-singer Mansur Zennelli, lead guitarist Michael Barrett, drummer Salvatore Aidone and lead singer Christopher de Cinque.

Dream On Dreamer have just returned from the USA where the young Melbourne six-piece worked with upcoming producer Cameron Mizell (Memphis May Fire, I See Stars, Woe Is Me) on their debut album Heartbound. Having already been snapped up early in their career by red hot US management company Artery Foundation and locally by UNFD (The Getaway Plan, The Amity Affliction), the new album will be released around the world in late July by a network of labels. Heartbound will be released in Australia on August 5. Pre-order here.

A buzz band on the all ages circuit for some time, Awaken I Am (Gold Coast) are finally hitting Victorian shores. Formerly known as Sleepers, they have been busy playing the alternative music scene for the last two years earning a reputation as one of the next hot up and comers in their genre. The band are set to release their debut EP Resonance and are excited about the prospect of their first Victorian tour.
