Epitaph Records was formed in 1981 by Bad Religion guitarist and co-founder, Brett Gurewitz in Los Angeles, CA and is a world leader in the independent music industry. With over 60 million albums sold worldwide and a growing international roster of artists, this agreement comes as a natural progression in Epitaph’s commitment to providing worldwide distribution services. The new partnership will end a successful relationship with Australian distributor Shock Entertainment, who will continue to distribute Epitaph titles until the 1st of September, 2011. Dave Hansen recounts, “We have enjoyed a great partnership with Shock over the past 20 years and we wish them continued success”.

Epitaph continues to be vigorously, expertly and independently represented in Australia by Dave Jiannis, who will now work from the Warner office in Carlton Melbourne.
