Green Day begin work on new songs

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong revealed to fans on Twitter that the band is working on new material.

"There's a ton of new songs. The direction is fresh and hi energy. Feels great." Billie Joe tweeted this morning.

There are no official plans as yet for a new album.
