Alesana added to Soundwave Revolution

North Carolina post-hardcore act Alesana have been confirmed for Soundwave Revolution 2011. The announcement comes after the band was forced to pull out of Soundwave earlier this year, due to a "difficult label change".

It is possible that Alesana is just the first of more line up announcements to be made. Festival promoter AJ Maddah recently tweeted "I’d like to sincerely apologise to the SW staff, production team, site managers, etc. I may have just added another stage to #swREVOLUTION"

Other bands already confirmed for the festival include Van Halen, Alice Cooper, Bad Religion, Danzig, Dashboard Confessional, All Time Low, Panic! At The Disco, Yellowcard, Sum 41, The Used, and many many more. To view the full Soundwave Revolution line-up thus far, click here.

The dates and locations for Soundwave Revolution 2011 have also been confirmed. They are as follows:

Brisbane – RNA Showgrounds, Saturday September 24
Sydney – Old King’s Oval, Sunday September 25
Melbourne – Tabcorp Park, Friday September 30
Adelaide – Showgrounds, Saturday October1
Perth – Arena Joondalup, Monday October 3

General public tickets go on sale next Thursday 2 June.

Shit band. If this is an indication of what the “new” stage will be like then they should name it “scene stage”. Anyone remember the first interstate lineup? Such a humble festival.
