Music website Metal Sucks recently unveiled the new track entitled, 'Ruination of the Lost'. The group previously posted first song 'Eyes of Black' online earlier this month.

"Unearth have never let their fans down before, and their new album, Darkness in the Light, is no exception. All the elements of a great Unearth record are here — hardcore-tinged metal with lots a harmonized (sic) guitar wizardry, breakneck breakdowns, cannon-sized drums (courtesy of Killswitch Engage/Blood Has Been Shed’s Justin Foley!), and hooks that manage to get stuck in your head without being reliant on weak-ass good cop/bad cop vocals," Metal Sucks writes.

Unearth discussed their new album with SkullsNBones last month, affirming that studio album number five is "crushing".

"It does sound like Unearth of course, but there are definitely more solos and we are taking more chances on the new record. It's more of a classic metal album compared to our previous releases. At the same time, I think it's by far our most crushing record. It's really fucking heavy man," frontman Trevor Phipps said at the time.

Unearth are set to tour Australia later in the year as part of the Soundwave Revolution.
