But the party is now over for one of the longest standing alternative music clubs in Brisbane, home of Thriller, Snitch, Billionaire and many other events.

Promoters of Monstrothic and Level Up both echoed each other in saying that the last live music event will be taking place May 27, but the real send off will be on the Saturday 21st of May, 2011 which will be the final Thriller ever at Rosies.

Destroy All Lines has released that the new owners of Rosies (owners of the Fox Hotel in Brisbane) have made it clear that Thriller and all of the present live music will not be welcome at 235 Edward St.

It is a massive blow for the Brisbane music scene with an extremely low number of playable venues willing to take on bands in any capacity. A representative from Destroy All Lines could not comment on their plans for a new venue until their official announcement is made, which is expected in the coming days. They currently have a night at X&Y on Thursday nights.

Make sure you show your support by heading to Rosies for the last ever Thriller on May 21st.
