Fall Out Boy vocalist and current solo artist, Patrick Stump recently opened up about his current musical endeavours, affirming that he'll be surprised if Fall Out Boy "never did another record".


Speaking as part of a video interview with music site, Idolator.com, Stump discusses his new solo undertaking, with debut 'Soul Punk' due out in the coming months and additionally touches on his main musical outfit, Fall Out Boy.

"Maybe getting my outlet for r'n'b and pop and some art rock stuff and some jazz stuff and some soul and everything, I think that probably will make Fall Out Boy more Fall Out Boy, if we ever do it again you know. So that's another major reason why i'm doing this (solo work) because it's kind of like, hopefully I get my jollies out of doing this," Stump said about being able to explore and differentiate things that perhaps wouldn't be suitable in Fall out Boy.


The musician concludes that if Fall Out Boy create music again it will be more focused on their particular sound.


"If Fall Out Boy came back it would be more distilled Fall Out Boy," Stump said.
