Silverstein have posted another new song from their forthcoming fifth studio album.
The song "Dancing On My Grave" is taken from the deluxe edition of the band’s new album "Rescue", which will be released on April 26 through Hopeless Records.
The band’s vocalist Shane Told explained the inspiration behind the song:
"I spend a lot of time in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan when I’m not on tour and one time while driving around I saw a bumper sticker on the back of a Lexus SUV. The sticker said "I Lift Detroit in Prayer". If you’ve been reading the news you know that the US economy is in shambles, and Detroit is one of the cities being hit the hardest.
There’s a huge division with most of the wealthy people living outside of the city, with the city itself being very poor. It just amazed me that not only was all this person could do was pray for the city, but was also advertising it like they were making a huge contribution. The city needs people to help it in a lot of ways. It really struck a chord with me, being a city I really care about. This song is written from the perspective of the city."
