Mindset vocalist Matthew also recently spoke to Bombshellzine, for their Arthouse Last Drinks series of interviews:

Bombshellzine: Favourite memory of the venue from the stage?
Matthew: My favourite on stage memories are from our 2010 winter tour show with Stand Defiant, The Omen & The Gun Runners. One of the main highlights for me was covering With Honor with Misha from Stand Defiant on guest Vocals. Overall it was just a rad show because a lot of friends showed up, got drunk and sung a long. In terms of any show thats all I ever hope for.

Bombshellzine: Favourite memory of the venue as a punter?
Matthew: Miles Away summer Tour with FC Five, BLKOUT and Fuck It I Quit. Melbourne hardcore was in fine form, all the bands ruled and the reaction to Miles Away was pretty intense.
Also excessive stage dives to A Wilhelm Scream in 2009 is up there.

Bombshellzine: What was it about The Arthouse that has made it stand out from other venues over all these years?
Matthew: Its just the perfect size for the shows that happen there to happen the best way they can. The sound is good, the beer garden it a good place to hang out and the overall tradition of the place just fuels the shows there to be so good.

Mindset are playing the Arty on Monday April 18, with No Grace, Declaration and StepxDown.
