In what can only be described as quirky but equally intriguing news, Maryland metallers Periphery are set to have their Wikipedia page/account deleted after the site recently deemed the band not notable enough to have an online page.

In what can only be described as quirky but equally intriguing news, Maryland metallers Periphery are set to have their Wikipedia page/account deleted after the site recently deemed the band not notable enough to have an online page.


The band made the announcement via their Facebook wall, stating that the site believes the group's page is not worthy of the online encyclopaedia.

"Our Wikipedia page is being considered for deletion because some overachieving buttholes says we're not notable enough, if anyone who has wikipedia cred can help us out it would be sweet to keep our wikipedia page," Periphery writes.


You can still view Periphery's Wikipedia page here, with a subtle addition made to the introduction line, which now reads - "Periphery is a notable American progressive metal band from Bethesda, Maryland (by way of Baltimore, Maryland), formed in 2005."
