The City of Vancouver is facing a lawsuit after a fan was injured at a free Alexisonfire concert.

The City of Vancouver is facing a lawsuit after a fan was injured at a free Alexisonfire concert.


Last February, Alexisonfire played a free concert at Vancouver's LiveCity Yaletown to coincide with the 2010 Olympics. At the show the crowd surged, breaking one of the venue's barricades and injuring 20 fans,with an evacuation of all 7,000 attendees.

A parent is now taking legal action against the City of Vancouver and Live Nation Canada, as well as other unnamed defendants responsible for the concert set-up.


Gursewak Khera , father of a 17-year-old girl who attended the concert, claims his daughter fell and was trampled by fans, causing a section of skin to tear off her right leg and requiring surgery.
