A week after announcing the completion of their seventh studio album, Incubus vocalist Brandon Boyd caught up with AOL's Noisecreep to discuss what fans can expect.

A week after announcing the completion of their seventh studio album, Incubus vocalist Brandon Boyd caught up with AOL's Noisecreep to discuss what fans can expect.


Boyd chatted with the music website recently, affirming that long-time fans will embrace the new material.

"I think it's really gonna appeal to the people who've been following us a long time. It's continuing on our long and winding road of sharing art with people," he said.


The musician additionally noted that the album is also a means to branch out and add some new elements to the Incubus sound.


"It's like that next phase. We're gonna kind of challenge our fans with this one, but I'm excited about that. I think that's what needs to happen," Boyd said.


As Noisecreep further reports, Boyd hopes for a August or September release for the yet-to-be-titled album.
