Newly formed progressive side-project, T.R.A.M are reportedly eying a May release for their debut studio album, 'Lingua Franca'.


Killyourstereo reported earlier in the month the formation of the group, consisting of members from the Mars Volta, Animals As Leaders and Suicidal Tendencies. The Sumerian Records signed band have spent much of March preparing material as well as touring, with the group recently performing at SXSW.

Although an exact release date is yet-to-be confirmed, music website Ryan's Rock Show! noted the brief details.


"T.R.A.M. (Animals As Leaders, The Mars Volta, Suicidal Tendencies) has set Lingua Franca as the title of its debut album. The effort is expected out in May via Sumerian."


Additionally, Mars Volta musician Adrian Terrazas briefly commented on the material previously.


"I never know how people will respond to our music, I just never know! My goal is to try to instill a strong feeling or energy in people and I feel that collectively we achieved this goal tenfold with this new project. We all have a great enthusiasm and desire to perform this material live and see this band further develop. We look forward to hearing what you all think of it.," Terrazas said.
