August Burns Red finalising new album

Lancaster metalcore quintet August Burns Red have finished recording their fourth studio album, with the band now moving on to mixing duties.

The group entered Orlando’s Audio Hammer Studios with producer Jason Suecof (All That Remains, Whitechapel) last month to record a follow-up to 2009’s ‘Constellations‘.

As August Burns Red briefly write on their Facebook page:

"The record is done! Now it’s time for mixing. So excited!!"

Guitarist JB Brubaker caught up with Alternative Press previously and observed the direction of the new, yet-to-be-titled album.

"We’re trying to keep it fresh by introducing new elements, and maybe elements of other styles of music that we listen to and like, instead of just playing breakdowns and thrash riffs," he said.

In addition, August Burn Red posted a series of studio videos documenting the recording process over the past month. Fans can view them here.

If I am not mistaken I think that the band was recording its album right around my house, in the Sydney studio, Enmore Audio. I may be confused but I could have sworn that was the case. Either way, cant wait to hear the new music.
