Foo Fighters to stage charity concerts in Brisbane & Auckland for flood and earthquake appeals. The shows have been organised to provide aid for the victims of Queensland floods and Christchurch earthquakes.

In response to the recent events in Queensland and Christchurch, Foo Fighters have announced the following shows:


Tuesday 22 March Auckland Town Hall, Auckland

Sunday 27 March Riverstage, Brisbane Botanic Gardens


The shows have been organised to provide aid for the victims of Queensland floods and Christchurch earthquakes.


The Auckland concert will be held on Tuesday 22 March at Auckland Town Hall (guest bands TBC).


The Brisbane concert will be held on Sunday 27 March at Riverstage in the Botanic Gardens. Foo Fighters will be joined by Australian rock band You Am I and Cloud Control with a local opener to be confirmed following the result of a competition taking place (details below).


All profits from the Brisbane concert will go to the Queensland Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal and all profits from the Auckland concert will go to the New Zealand Government's Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.


Tickets for New Zealand will be on sale from 9:00am NZDST, Friday 18 March priced at $175 and $250. A limit of 2 tickets per purchaser will apply for this show.


Tickets for the Brisbane show go on sale at 9:00am AEST on Monday 21 March with all tickets priced at $99. A limit of 4 tickets per purchaser will apply for the Australian show.


Foo Fighters are welcoming submissions from local Brisbane bands for a spot on the Brisbane bill. Submissions titled 'Brisbane - Foo Fighters Submission' should be emailed to info@frontiertouring.com.au with a link to the band's music (via Myspace, Soundcloud etc.) between 9:00am AEST, Sunday 20 March to 11:59pm AEST, Monday 21 March.


Multiple entries or those submitted outside this time frame or without music links will not be considered, all accompanying music must be submitted via web links (no attachments will be accepted). The winning band will be notified on Tuesday 22 March.
