"I guess my biggest concern for the past 12 or so hours has been the reactor. When the initial quake hit, the first major shock hit ,we were actually sound-checking and so we had to run out of the building and ran out onto the street," the musician said.

Fellow metal outfit High On Fire were also in Japan at the time and have since issued the following statement:

"Our thoughts go out to all the people of the world who have already been through such agony during these tragedies and are now going through much worse. To all those who have lost loved ones in particular, you have our deepest sympathies."

All That Remains and High On Fire were both unharmed during the earthquake.
