Between the Buried and Me best of CD announced

Following the recent announcement of their signing with Metal Blade, previous label Victory Records has unveiled plans to release a ‘Best Of’ Between the Buried and Me album.

Victory have earmarked March 29th for a release date, stating that the retrospective release will contain a CD and DVD component.

"The compilation CD/DVD release contains 20 songs spanning their impressive career, including songs from The Silent Circus, Alaska, Colors, Colors-Live & The Great Misdirect as well as 5 bonus tracks never before released on CD. The DVD portion of the release will feature music videos for “Moredecai”, “Alaska”, “Obfuscation”, and “Synesthesia”. All of this and more comes in an interactive package that uses a spectral decoder to unveil hidden messages and special imagery – a must have for any BTBAM fan," the press release notes.

In related news, BTBAM guitarist Paul Waggoner recently elaborated on upcoming release, ‘The Parallax Dialogues‘, due out April 12th via Metal Blade.

"The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues” will introduce two human characters who live in different planes of existence, separated by millions of light years. We find that each is confronted with similar personal issues that they need to reckon with. Both characters make decisions that will change their lives, and perhaps the course of the universe, forever.

Musically, it sounds like Between The Buried And Me. The record has elements of aggression, beauty, quirkiness, and pure cacophony. For “Part 1″, we establish several themes which I’m sure will be revisited in the lengthier “Part 2″, which is something we really look forward to. We love to expand on simple ideas and see where they take us," Waggoner said.
