"The 7" split will feature Doomriders covering "Girl You Want" and Sweet Cobra covering "Gates of Steel" by Devo. Kurt Ballou (Converge) recorded and mixed the Doomriders song and Allen Epley and Eric Abert (both of The Life And Times) recorded and mixed the Sweet Cobra song," Crustcake.com reports.

Hawthorne Street Records is set to distribute the 7", writing the following late last year:

"Hawthorne Street records is pleased to announce a split 7″ from Boston’s behemoth Doomriders and Chicago’s Sweet Cobra. Each band brings their unique sonic sludge to this split. To be released in March 2011."

In related news, Doomriders underwent a personnel change last year, announcing a new drummer in December after original skinsman JR Conners left the group.
