Straight out of New York City, U.S. outfit Star Fucking Hipsters are getting set to crash on your sofa, raid your fridge, and introduce their extremely contagious strand of punk/ska/metal into Oz this April, with their hugely anticipated Australian debut tour. Spawned by some of New York's most vehement and influential underground punk outfits (including Leftover Crack, Choking Victim & The Slackers), the band's members have a diverse range of experience in the alternative scenes. It's little wonder their unique sound immediately caught the attention of NOFX's 'Fat Mike', who wasted little time in literally bailing out members from jail and signing the band to his hugely successful label 'Fat Wreck Chords'.

Aussie audiences were given a taste of what was to come when punk/ska veterans Leftover Crack injected a handful of Star Fucking Hipsters tracks into their set during their last visit to Australia. The response was overwhelming to say the very least, and not surprisingly so. The band somehow finds a way to achieve the impossible task of seamlessly fusing together melodic pop punk, with raging ska and potent metal riffs; all the while, maintaining a genuine animalistic rawness about their music, and keeping the world's greed and corruption in lyrical check. Star Fucking Hipsters always deliver with brutal force a confronting message.

However, if you think that the Star Fucking Hipsters is the only cup of tea we're serving this April, then think again my friends. In spite of certain rumours flying around that Refused could possibly be reforming, we have since confirmed that these rumours were in fact completely fabricated. A recent press release from Dennis Lyxzen confirmed that the band would not be reforming. We are however focusing on a new project featuring another member of his ground-breaking punk outfit. After several years of different musical outlets, Dennis is now fronting AC4, one of the most exciting acts on the punk circuit today. AC4 will be joining Star Fucking Hipsters on the road this April travelling down the East Coast of Australia.
