Nikola Sarcevic (Millencolin) acoustic Perth show

Scandinavian folk rocker Nikola Sarcevic will be performing an exclusive acoustic set at the Rosemount Hotel in Perth on Sunday, 6 March 2011.  Nikola is best known for his work as the lead singer of Millencolin, a notorious Swedish punk/alternative rock band that commanded the respect of the international punk scene from the early '90s and 2000s.

Nikola launched his solo career in 2003 whilst still performing as the loud and extroverted front man for Millencolin.  As a solo artist, Sarcevic has revealed a more sensitive, introverted side with his adult alternative releases Lock-Sport-Krock (2004), Roll Roll and Flee (2006-2007 and Nikola & Fattiglapparna(2010).  These albums shift from stark, devotional moments to folk ballads while retaining a cohesion missing from most singer/songwriter efforts.  

Jimmy and Steve from Kerb, one of Perth's favourite pioneering punk bands of the 90's/2000's, are coming out of the woodwork to perform a very special acoustic set in a classic Kerb style with their own brand of forgettable songs from their albums Nobody Here But Us Walruses (1998), 3 Chords and the Truth (2004), to provide support for Nikola Sarcevic.

Their extended hiatus was due to their guitarist Jimmy who decided to set aside punk rock to pursue a career hula hooping whilst dropping mad beat boxing beats on every single talent based reality show possible all over the world. This dream was unable to come to fruition due to never advancing further than the second round cut so he has returned to his first love of punk rock for a rare performance.
