Iconic Swedish tech-metallers Meshuggah have let slip that they plan to release a new album towards the tail-end of 2011.
While talking as part of the Nuclear Blast Screening Room (where bands take fan submitted questions) recently, drummer Tomas Haake and vocalist Jens Kidman affirmed that an ideal release date for new material would centre sometime around September/October.
Metal Injection notes some of the details:
"When asked if the record would sound similar to their 2008 release, obZen, Tomas answered (paraphrased): "We have a sound that we are going for. We were pretty happy with how the production came out on obZen, and the new album is kind of in that vein, but there will always be a bit of difference."
