Carnifex, whose dark and abrasive brand of death metal will tear audiences to shreds with the announcement of an underage headlining sideshow in Melbourne whilst they are in town supporting Darkest Hour on their national tour in January. The band will perform one show only at 2pm at Phoenix Youth Centre in Footscray on Friday January 7. Non-stop touring and methodical songwriting have seen Carnifex rise quickly among the modern death metal ranks. Their debut album, The Diseased And The Poisoned, was armed to the teeth with an arsenal of blast beats, machine gun riffs and vocals from the pits of hell, while the musical growth of their 2010 sophomore release, Hell Chose Me, has seen them tour with the likes of As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Unearth and The Black Dahlia Murder. With a live show that reflects the brutality and aggressiveness of their albums, audiences are going to get pummeled. Joining Carnifex on this one off Under 18s Side Show will be Melbourne Death-core act State of East London. Having just recently returned from an Australian tour leaving crowds nation wide highly anticipating their new release, Repugnance, which is set to be released in the early part of 2010.

Rounding out the stellar lineup are Jack The Stripper, Her Majesty and Stand Alone.
