In Hearts Wake have departed ways with their bass player. The band posted a statement from their myspace page: "Hey Everyone, As some of you may already know, after 5 years our bass player Jack Deacon will be parting ways with the band for 2011. This is due to personal changes in his life and in no way does it reflect upon our friendships. We still remain the closest of friends, if not closer. Jack has been there since the beginning of In Hearts Wake through thick and thin, he is and will always be apart of our family. We wish him all the best with his future goals and aspirations. Be sure to come hangout and say goodbye to Jack at his last few shows with In Hearts Wake!"

"Hey Everyone,

Here is a statement from Jack:

“Hey guys Jack here, After 5 amazing years, my journey with the ‘Wake’ has come to an end. In Hearts Wake has been a huge part of my life and will be sad to say goodbye to, but it’s time for me to move on and pursue other endeavours. Big Thanks to my family and friends who have supported me over the years, to anyone that’s ever lent me gear or provided me with a roof to sleep under. Without these people the past few years of my life wouldn’t of been possible. On a final note Support Australian hardcore and continue to support In Hearts Wake. Thanks for the memories.”
