Paramore, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Korn and Lamb Of God are amongst the bands that have been nominated for next year’s 53rd Annual Grammy Awards


Paramore are nominated for 'Best Pop Performance' for their song 'The Only Exception' as well as vocalist Hayley Williams also being nominated for 'Best Pop Collaboration' along with B.o.B for their duo 'Airplanes part II'

Alice In Chains are nominated along with Stone Temple Pilots and Soundgarden for 'Best Hard Rock Performance'


Iron Maiden are up against Slayer, Korn, Megadeth and Lamb Of God for Best Metal Performance


Green Day have been nominated for 'Best Musical Show Album' for the music from their Broadway production 'American Idiot'

To be eligible for a nomination the music has to have been released between September 1, 2009, and September 30, 2010


The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will take place where the winners will be announced on the 13th February 2011
