Highly influential stoner metal pioneers Kyuss are set to reunite and tour the world under the monkier Kyuss Lives. Less only one original member (Josh Homme), the band have just announced they already have Australian dates locked in.
After 15 long years and the consistent suggestion that it would never happen, influential stoner metal legends Kyuss are reuniting and will be returning to stages around the world very soon under the name Kyuss Lives. Less one member (Josh Homme, who had always discouraged a reunion) the band have revealed that Australian dates have already been locked in.
Hopes of a reunion were sparked when recently John Garcia toured Europe under the psuedo name Garcia Plays Kyuss. Speculation was heightened when he was joined by Brant Bjork and Nick Oliveri for his appearance at Hellfest in France. The much-requested reunion was confirmed this month with Bruno Fevery set to take on Homme's guitar duties.
Last time Kyuss were in Australia they were supporting Metallica on the Black Album Tour in 1993. Tour dates as follows:
