Gothenburg stalwarts In Flames have announced plans to enter the studio next week to start recording their tenth studio album.

Gothenburg stalwarts In Flames have announced plans to enter the studio next week to start recording their tenth studio album.


The enduring melodic death metal outfit detailed their intentions via MySpace, informing fans that pre-production would begin soon, when writing the following message:

Next week we will start pre-production for our new album.

 

The plan is to enter IF Studios and spend the remaining part of 2010 and the beginning of 2011 creating and recording the follow up to ASOP.

In Flames most recent studio release is 2008’s ‘A Sense of Purpose’, with the band last gracing our shores in early 2009 as part of Soundwave.


The new album will be the first since founding member and guitarist Jesper Stromblad left the band in February.
