The Receiving End Of Sirens have posted an unreleased song onto their tumblr page. The song is taken from the "Sounds Of Sleep" EP that the band had planned to release before their break up in 2008.

The band had this to say about the song:

"Back in 2007, while on tour, we embarked on recording a 5 song EP that was going to be called - The Receiving End of Sirens’ “Sounds of Sleep”. The basic concept was to create and record a sonic landscape that mimicked the body’s transformation throughout the 5 stages of sleep, from awake into deep R.E.M sleep. While writing we tried to keep in mind things like how the body would breathe, how the heart would beat, and how the mind would be working in each phase. Buried deep in the mix, we also added in the waveforms that your brain creates during each cycle. In theory the CD would help bring the listener into a deeper more tranquil form of sleep."

The band has played two reunion shows so far in 2010, and they have been hinting via various social networking sites that something else could be happening soon.
