California punk rock superstars Green Day have announced that they intend to release a brand new live CD.

The album will commemorate the band's immense touring stint after the release of their latest album "21st Century Breakdown" which was hailed as the fifth best album of 2009 by Rolling Stone magazine. About a week ago on their twitter page the band wrote "We've been recording our live shows since the beginning of tour. Possible Live album coming. A ton of songs! We're in texas!"
