The reality of youth depression has inspired The Getaway Plan to reunite for a one off music event. REVIVAL – This Is Not The End Of Your Story has been put together in partnership with To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA), a non for-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. Through the power of music, five prominent and upcoming Australian bands will join forces to support the TWLOHA vision in what will arguably be one of the most anticipated events of the year. REVIVAL is about raising awareness of the TWLOHA movement, aiming to stimulate conversation among young people about mental health issues and empower those struggling with depression with the knowledge that help and recovery is possible.

The Getaway Plan will revive from the shadows and headline two shows at Billboard The Venue on Friday 24th September. This will be their first performance since breaking up in 2009.

Supporting the Melbourne quartet for both shows is local boys Stealing O’Neal, alongside Built On Secrets (U18 only), Secrets In Scale (18 only) and Cheerleader (both shows).

Event organiser Jacquie Redfern says, “My vision is to educate youths about the services which To Write Love On Her Arms provide, as well as raise awareness of the self help organizations they support in Australia”

TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. In what originally started as an attempt to save a friend turned into a movement. TWLOHA is a mission to provide help to those battling depression. The organisation supports various services around the world including Lifeline, Kids Help, Boystown, and Headspace in Australia.
