As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis has shed light on the band’s new album “The Powerless Rise” during an interview with The Las Vegas Weekly. Over the course of the brief interview, Lambesis discusses the lyrical direction of the album and its themes of finding solutions to problems in Western culture. “There’s such an emphasis on material gain, and there’s a couple songs on the album that talk a lot about turning that idea upside down and finding the strength in simplicity, and a completely backwards style of living than what we’re taught—especially in Western culture,” Lambesis says of his lyrics.
