Alternative rockers Shihad are celebrating 21 years as a band by announcing a select run of concerts where they will play two of their most iconic albums in their entirety.

In August, the band will delve into their back catalogue and play both their "Killjoy" and "The General Electric" albums from start to finish over two shows in Melbourne and Sydney only.

With ARIA nominations and platinum sales to their name, both albums showcase why Shihad have become such a well-known and well respected musical force.

Shihad’s 1996 sophomore album, “Killjoy”, pushed the band into the mainstream rock limelight and earned them praise from the likes of Iggy Pop and Metallica. The album saw the band tour relentlessly and eventually went on to become their first album to receive a Gold certification.

1999’s “The General Electric” built on the musical blueprint Shihad had established and saw the band once more refine their songwriting craft. With a solid collection of songs, it’s no wonder it’s still the band’s best selling album to date.

As previously reported by KYS, the band will also release an as-yet-untitled 8th studio album in September via a new partnership with Roadrunner Records.
