Children Collide’s unmistakable signature sound is comprised of equal parts worldly and other-worldly sensibility. Thus, it seems fitting that the fiery trio have spent the best part of this current year traversing the globe, lurking in hallowed studios and dominating club stages. Now, they return to familiar though no less exhilarating stages, burdened with new material begging to be liberated. This June, Children Collide will embark on a celebration tour of sorts; both a celebration of things accomplished and things to come. Visiting cities that have so vehemently embraced the powerful sonic force of Children Collide over such an extended period of time, the band will now prepare audiences to look forward. This June, Children Collide will embark on a celebration tour of sorts; both a celebration of things accomplished and things to come. Visiting cities that have so vehemently embraced the powerful sonic force of Children Collide over such an extended period of time, the band will now prepare audiences to look forward. Having taken their live show to Europe and North America & Japan already this year, the band are wielding as insatiable a live show as they ever have before.

Still following in the wake of their acclaimed debut album, Children Collide gathered up their musical wares (both tangible and sonic) to embark on a recording expedition across the seas. A chance connection with big-name US based producer Rob Schnapf led to his unexpected helming of the album, with recording taking place across a fortnight spurt in LA throughout March. The as yet unnamed (and suitably mysterious) second record from Children Collide is now taking its final shape and looks to be ready to destroy stereos and car radios all over the country not too much later this year.

“Dark”, “melodic” and “atmospheric” are all oft used words in the noble pursuit of adequately describing an acts sound. However, Sydney quartet Cabins not only fit snugly into place beside these adjectives, they transcend them. Much like Children Collide, the Sydney quartet have been hitting the tracks hard this past 12 months, and with the imminent release of their debut mini album “Bright Victory” they intend to do more of the same. A near perfect fit for the noisy colliding trio, Cabins will join this tour to bring to the fore one noisy, feverish rock show. They are not to be missed.

Recent time spent away from familiar roads and stages has not led Children Collide to entertain one ounce of complacency. Viewers all over the world have taken in and enjoyed the same raucous live offering to which Australian audiences have become accustomed. The band is just kicking into gear. Rest assured, Children Collide are never far away from punching out another track to use as sonic fuel for both stages and stereo speakers. But for now, absence makes the heart grow fonder.
