Boasting one of the most impressive local punk/hardcore lineups this country has seen the ‘I’d Rather Be Giggin’ Tour travels across 6 states in just over 2 weeks. Co-headlining the tour will be 2 of the most successful punk/hardcore bands ever to come out of Western Australia in MILES AWAY and BREAK EVEN.

Perth hardcore veterans MILES AWAY embark on the tour shortly after returning from recording their new album with Dean Baltulonis (American Nightmare, Sick of it All) at his renowned Wild Arctic studio in New York City. The band will be releasing a limited edition 7” to coincide with the tour before heading off on a summer tour of Europe with Cruel Hand and The Carrier.

Co-headliners BREAK EVEN are coming off a whirlwind 12 months which has seen them tour heavily as both a headline band and support off the back of their acclaimed debut album The Bright Side. The album came in at an impressive number 2 in Triple J’s Short Fast Loud’s top 100 albums of the year (2009), and quickly struck a chord with people in the punk/hardcore community across Australia and the world. BREAK EVEN are taking little to no time off the road to partake in the tour, embarking on it less than a week after returning from a European tour with Deez Nuts and The Ghost Inside.

Rounding off the lineup are Melbourne’s own HOPELESS and THE BRODERICK. HOPELESS are coming off the back of a national tour supporting Ruiner (USA) and are quickly becoming one of the most talked about bands in the Australian punk/hardcore scene.

Meanwhile THE BRODERICK are hard at work writing for their debut album and this tour will act as the first chance for people to witness some of the new material.
