Slipknot drummer playing with Rob Zombie

Masked metal skinsman Joey Jordison is set to perform with Rob Zombie on his upcoming tour dates.

Jordison will join Roadrunner label mate Rob Zombie for his ‘Gruesome Twosome’ tour in Canada and the US, which also features Alice Cooper.

“I am honored (sic), proud and excited to announce that I have joined the ranks as the new touring drummer for Rob Zombie. I’ve been a fan of Zombie’s since the beginning. I’ve toured with them and have always wanted to play for them. When John 5 called me up to ask if I knew any drummers I could recommend, I said, only half-jokingly, ‘Yeah, me!” Jordison told Roadrunner.

Concurrently, Rob Zombie commented: “Joey is an absolutely crushing drummer and I am thrilled to have him as part of the Zombie family. His amazing skills promise to take the live show to a whole new level of insanity.”

Jordison has become an adept session/touring musician of recent times having previously filled in with notable bands such as Korn, Satyricon and Metallica.
